18.0 Entities

Entities are reusable stat and ability blocks for the things in your world that aren't player characters or NPCs — monsters, beasts, ships, hazards, vehicles, anything. Build a bestiary or a stable of generic foes you can drop into Encounters in seconds. Entities are a paid-tier feature and are only visible to Game Masters.

Creating an entity

Click the green "New Entity" button. The form covers:

  • Name and Type (for example Bandit, Bear, or a ship class).
  • Disposition toward the party — Unknown, Hostile, Unfriendly, Neutral, Friendly, or Ally — shown as a colored badge on the entity.
  • A Folder to organize it, and a Profile Template to control which stats appear.
  • Custom Stats, a Description and Notes, and an image.

Abilities are added separately via the "Edit Abilities" button on the entity's profile.

The entity profile

An entity's profile shows its stats, abilities, and disposition, plus a Mentions panel that lists everywhere the entity is @-mentioned across your campaign (notes, characters, encounters, places, and more). The orange Duplicate button copies the entity — including its stats and selected abilities — which is the quickest way to spin up variations of the same foe.

Folders

Organize your entities with folders — group them by type, category, or challenge rating. The sidebar offers All Entities and Unsorted Entities views, and the blue "Manage Folders" button opens the folder manager.
