2.7 Deleting Your Account
There is no delete button in Account Settings. Account deletion is handled by customer service, but we are happy to fulfill all requests. Email support@chronica.ventures from the address on your account and we will take it from there.
If you own any campaigns, consider sorting them out first. If your account has active campaigns, we will ask that you move those subscriptions down to the Free peasant tier first. If your owned campaigns have other members, we will confirm that you understand the campaign will be deleted, along with everything in it, and it is not recoverable in any way. If you prefer to move your campaign to another Game Owner, we can do that for you.
What deletion removes
Deleting your account removes you from every campaign you play in. Along with your membership go your personal inventory and its items, your character ownerships and the wealth held in them, your folders, your links, your event RSVPs, and your entries in the campaign Activity Log.
Two effects are worth planning around:
- Your adventure notes stay in the campaign but lose their author, and anything left in draft is published. Read through your drafts first — unfinished notes will become visible to the campaign.
- Events you created are removed from the campaign's schedule. If you are the one who organises your table's sessions, hand that over before you go.
Related requests we handle by email
- Removing a saved payment method — email support@chronica.ventures and we will remove it within 48 business hours.
- Stopping billing without deleting anything — you do not need us for this. Downgrade the campaign to the free Peasant tier and the billing stops; see 2.6.
If you just want to step away for a while, you do not need to delete anything. Chronica does not charge you for having an account — only campaigns you own on a paid tier cost anything. Downgrade those to Peasant and your account can sit quietly for as long as you like with everything intact.
