The Friends List on your dashboard keeps track of the people you play with across Chronica. It is deliberately quiet — being someone's friend does not give either of you access to the other's campaigns, characters, wealth, or notes. Campaign membership is separate, and a Game Master still has to add you to a campaign for you to be in it.
What being friends does is make that easier: a Game Master adding players can pick straight from their friends list instead of typing usernames, and people you invite to Chronica become friends automatically when they join.
Sending a friend request
Type their username into the box on the Friends List panel and click Send Friend Request. It has to be their exact username — Chronica has no user search or directory, by design, so there is no way to browse for someone. You will need to ask them what theirs is.
Your request lands in their Pending tab, and shows in yours as Request Sent until they answer. If you change your mind, Cancel Request withdraws it.
Answering a request
Incoming requests appear in your Pending tab marked New Incoming Request, with three choices:
- Accept — they move to your Friends tab.
- Decline — the request is removed. They are not told, and nothing stops them asking again later.
- Block — the request is refused and they are stopped from contacting you again.
What blocking does
Blocking someone stops them contacting you through Chronica. They cannot send you another friend request, and they cannot send you a Chronica invitation either.
Nobody is notified that they have been blocked — no email goes out, and nothing appears on their dashboard. But it is not invisible either: if they try again, the message they get back tells them the attempt was refused rather than pretending it worked. Blocking is a firm door, not a secret one.
Blocked people are listed on your Blocked tab. Unblock lifts it — but note that unblocking does not make you friends, and it does not throw the request away either. It returns them to your Pending tab as a request waiting for an answer, so you can then accept or decline it properly.
Removing a friend
On the Friends tab, the circle-x button beside a friend removes them, after a confirmation. It is not a block — they can send you a new request afterwards. If you want them stopped rather than removed, block the next request instead.
