Your email address is your login. Both it and your password are changed from the same Account Settings page.
Changing your email
Edit the Email field and save. The change takes effect straight away — and because your email is your login, the next time you sign in you must use the new address.
Changing your password
Fill in New Password and New Password Confirmation and save. Passwords must be at least 6 characters, and the two fields must match.
If you are not changing your password, leave both fields empty — the rest of the page saves normally. You do not need to retype your existing password to change something else.
If you have forgotten your password
You cannot get to Account Settings without being logged in, so a forgotten password is handled from the login page instead:
- On the login page, click (Forgot Password) beside the password field.
- Enter your email address and submit.
- Check your inbox for an email titled "Password Reset for Chronica" and follow the link.
- Enter a new password and confirm it. You are signed in automatically once it is set.
For your privacy, the reset page gives the same confirmation message whether or not an account exists for the address you entered — so nobody can use it to work out who has a Chronica account. If no email arrives, the likeliest explanations are a typo now, a typo when you signed up, or the message landing in spam. If none of those pan out, contact support@chronica.ventures.
